I am fully qualified, and a Registered Member of the BACP. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, to safeguard both my clients, and myself. I have worked in counselling services in both Exeter and Taunton, in addition to my practice in Cheddar. I regularly attend counselling workshops and training courses as part of my commitment to continue my counselling learning and provide the very best service for my clients.
I trained as an integrative counsellor, which means I've studied several counselling theories and approaches and can draw on these to work in a way that suits you best, reflecting your own needs and preferences. Sessions usually involve talking through and learning about your thoughts and feelings, but when words aren't possible, or appropriate, other more creative approaches, such as art work, might be useful.
My role as a counsellor is not to tell you what to do, to fix your problems for you, or to judge who you are. I provide a safe and supportive confidential setting in which you can learn what you need to, in order to resolve the difficulties you are facing.
I will offer guidance, help you consider different ways of viewing life and enable you to learn more about the choices and changes available to you.
